  1. North Carolina state park campgrounds are designated for recreation only. A campsite can be reserved for a maximum of 14 consecutive nights within any 30-day period. No camper is allowed to camp in a park for more than 14 nights in a 30-day period, and upon reaching that limit, a camper must vacate the park for 16 nights before returning.

    Entrance fees to Falls Lake, Jordan Lake, and Kerr Lake state recreation areas are charged on weekends in April, May, and September, and daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

    The North Carolina Division of Parks and Recreation is a state government agency, and we do not accept federal passes, such as the America the Beautiful Pass, or passes for other states. We do not offer discounted entrance passes or any other discount aside from the senior citizen and military/veteran discount.
