- The Middle East. Bahrain. Bahrain has strict laws against cannabis of every sort — though they don’t seem to be broken often. The last known conviction for possession and cultivation of cannabis occurred in 2014, when a person who possessed over 700 grams of hashish was sentenced to 12 months in jail and fined.
