Jul 21, 2015 · Didn't say a word about the speed but started to carefully examine the car including windscreen signature and other VIN locations. They took our documents to their car and we saw them calling somewhere. After about 15minutes they returned the passports and registration document and said we are good to go.

I started to notice in 2006ish the E and CLS classes would have the "Mercedes" in cursive on the windshield. From then on it seemed like only those models had the cursive ...
Jun 26, 2002 · This is an interesting subject. Since I am 6000 miles from my car, I can't be exact on this. The sticker has the signature of either Carl Benz or Gottlieb Daimler. Check you car wtih the original windshield to see which one it is. The replacement windshields allegedly have the stickers with the signature of the other Daimler-Benz founder.

If you want an original like you currently have, they can be purchased from the Mercedes-Benz Club of America for a few dollars each. They even have the old-school versions ...
Gottlieb Daimler. Every Mercedes windshield has his signature. Not on every... A / B / CLA / GLC / GLE Coupé / G use Gottlieb Daimler but E / S / GLE use Carl Benz for example and all the other cars in between use just Mercedes. My C has Carl Benz. Windshield may have been replaced and wrong sticker applied.
