Carlo Chatrian is an Italian journalist and the artistic director of the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale). Biography. Carlo Chatrian graduated in Literature and Philosophy from Turin University in 1994. As a film critic he works regularly for the magazines Filmcritica, Duellanti, Cineforum and is director of Panoramiques.

Leben. Carlo Chatrian studierte Literatur und Philosophie an der Universität Turin und erhielt 1994 die Laurea. Chatrian schreibt für verschiedene Filmzeitschriften und veröffentlichte eine Anzahl von Büchern. Er arbeitet bei Filmfestivals. Seit 2002 war er Mitglied im Auswahlkomitee in Locarno und seit 2008 dort Kurator einer Reihe.
