was a television series pitched to Disney Television Animation by El Tigre creator Jorge R. Gutierrez in 2010, that only remained as a pilot episode consisting of a fully-animated intro sequence and a color animatic. The pilot was posted onto Vimeo by Gutierrez the same year.
The series was to revolve around Carmen, a rebellious young girl who has been expelled by every school she takes part in until she meets the Baron, owner of a private academy he enrolls her into, and now must do whatever it takes to avoid being expelled again.
Carmen is a teenage girl who during her youth was expelled from numerous schools. At her last school, she took down some bullies who were stealing lunch money from students and picking on them. However, the principal witnessed the action and rather than being proud of her for standing up to bullies, he expelled her. While Carmen was moping on a bench, a rich, fun-loving man named The Baron arrived and took her to his private academy where she could continue her studies and not get expelled.
After the intro, Carmen is seen in the hallway painting a mural when suddenly Johnny arrives and sees that she painted Headmistress Gnarly as a fire-breathing dragon. Suddenly the real Headmistress Gnarly arrived and sees the painting. Carmen attempts to make an excuse but instead of looking angry, Headmistress Gnarly is smiling (something Carmen never noticed her do before). Gnarly explains that ever since she was admitted into the academy (despite her objection to The Baron), she had to put up with Carmen's rebel antics and since she defaced school property, Miss Gnarly would FINALLY get to expel Carmen but before she can, The Baron arrives and says that he loves what Carmen did. He thinks that the painting will make the academy better, to which Headmistress Gnarly reluctantly agrees. Afterwards, she decides to give Carmen a different punishment since she can't expel her for the painting. Carmen must paint all the freshmen's lockers in the school and (as suggested by her niece Yvonne) clean the boys' bathroom by 6:00 P.M. tomorrow, or else she will be expelled.
As Headmistress Gnarly is about to leave, she accidentally hits her knee on the cage of Hamlet, The Baron's beloved pet warthog and mascot of the academy. She then orders Yvonne to walk Hamlet and put him in the tower afterwards. Upon seeing Hamlet like that, Carmen thinks that Hamlet shouldn't be cooped up and comes up with a plan to set him free. Later that night Carmen, Bing and Ozzy sneak into the tower where Hamlet is located, only to learn that Johnny had the same idea, so all four of them work together to free Hamlet from his cage and release him into the wild before they head back to the academy.
The next morning, as Johnny and Carmen talk about Carmen's good deed, Carmen begins her punishment of painting all the lockers red before the end of the day, only to hear someone crying in the Baron's office. Upon arriving, they see the Baron crying (and smashing plates) as he tells Carmen and Johnny that someone stole Hamlet. The Baron then explains (with musical accompaniment by his butler) that both his family and Hamlet's have been together for generations and that Hamlet's family has been helping The Baron's family with numerous things, including picking out clothing (the Baron mentions that Hamlet picked out his tie). Carmen then suggests that Hamlet might be doing fine in the outside world. This scares Baron, who says that since Hamlet (like his family) has been living inside his whole life, the outside world might be too dangerous for him. Carmen attempts to tell Baron she was the one who released Hamlet, but Johnny stops her and takes her out of his office. Realizing what she has done, Carmen now must get Hamlet back to help the Baron, even if it means she'll get expelled for not painting the lockers. Unbeknownst to them, Yvonne overhears what happened and plans to make sure Carmen gets expelled for good.
Later Hamlet wakes up and becomes nervous about being outside (despite it being a good place) when suddenly two dogs appear and start chasing Hamlet. Luckily, someone manages to save Hamlet from the dogs...only for it to be revealed that Hamlet was taken to a butcher shop. Carmen and Johnny arrive just in time to save Hamlet from the butcher, with the help of Ozzy (who fell from the sky after flying up in the air all night). Carmen then frees Hamlet and the other pigs, but before Carmen and the others could return to the academy, Yvonne and her guards arrive to make sure Carmen doesn't make it back, but Hamlet orders the other pigs to attack her and the guards. Carmen, Johnny and Ozzy ride on Hamlet as the dogs, their owner, Yvonne, her guards and the butcher chase them through a carnival, where after encountering numerous obstacles, they manage to escape with that help of a slingshot ride, where Johnny and Ozzy stay behind as Carmen and Hamlet are flung back to the school where a crying Baron is reunited with Hamlet. Carmen (seeing this as a perfect opportunity) takes out two paint rollers and paints all the lockers and manages to clean the boys' bathroom just before Headmistress Gnarly can expel her.
Later in the nurse's room as Bing congratulates Carmen on not getting expelled, Johnny arrived to see how she is doing as The Baron and Hamlet arrive to thank her for saving Hamlet and bringing him back. Just then a furious Headmistress Gnarly and a smelly Yvonne arrive, looking angry that Carmen has once again saved herself from getting expelled, only to see that The Baron is there. Headmistress Gnarly lies that she came to make sure Carmen isn't dead from her injury, to which Yvonne replies that she wanted her to die a little. This leads Hamlet to attack Yvonne and Gnarly, but Baron mistakes it for Hamlet wanting to play with them.
•Carmen (voiced by Grey DeLisle) - A girl who keeps getting expelled from every school she goes to - until the Baron arrives and enrolls her to an academy he owns.
•The Baron (voiced by Carlos Alazraqui) - A very rich fun-loving man that owns the academy that Carmen goes to.
•Headmistress Gnarly (voiced by Jeff Bennett) - A mean old lady who is the headmistress of the school. She tries to do whatever she can to get Carmen expelled.
•Johnny (voiced by Charlie Schlatter) - A boy whom Carmen has a crush on, though she never admits it.
•Yvonne (voiced by Kari Wahlgren) - Headmistress Gnarly's niece, who also tries to get Carmen expelled.
•Hamlet (voiced by Dee Bradley Baker) - The Baron's pet warthog. Carmen tries to set him free, since he keeps on getting mistreated by other people - except the Baron.

Carmen Got Expelled! is a pilot by Jorge R. Gutierrez and Sandra Equihua of El Tigre fame. It was pitched to Disney but they declined the show. The pilot stars Carmen, a teenage girl who has gotten expelled several times in her life. After being expelled from another school Carmen gets transferred to a private academy owned by The Baron.
