Apr 30, 2024 · Casimir III (born April 30, 1310, Kujawy, Poland—died November 5, 1370) was the king of Poland from 1333 to 1370, called “the Great” because he was deemed a peaceful ruler, a “peasant king,” and a skillful diplomat. Through astute diplomacy he annexed lands from western Russia and eastern Germany.
