Casimir IV Jagiellon. Casimir IV (Casimir Andrew Jagiellon; Polish: Kazimierz Andrzej Jagiellończyk [kaˈʑimjɛʂ jaɡʲɛ (l)ˈlɔj̃t͡ʂɨk] ⓘ; Lithuanian: Kazimieras Jogailaitis ⓘ; 30 November 1427 – 7 June 1492) [1] was Grand Duke of Lithuania from 1440 and King of Poland from 1447 until his death in 1492.
He was one of the most active Polish-Lithuanian rulers; under him, Poland defeated the Teutonic Knights in the Thirteen Years' War and recovered Pomerania. Casimir IV was Grand Duke of Lithuania from 1440 and King of Poland from 1447 until his death in 1492.
Duke Casimir V of Pomerania (or, counting differently, Casimir VI; after 1380 – 13 April 1435) was a member of the House of Griffins and a Duke of Pomerania. He ruled in Pomerania-Stettin together with his brother Otto II from 1413 to 1428. After 1428, he ruled Pomerania-Stettin alone.
