Amber Whitmire (born 1982) is the daughter of a wealthy couple and one of the most popular girls at her school, Marshwood. She is a major antagonist in both the 1995 Casper feature film and its the animated spinoff The Spooktacular New Adventures of Casper, acting as the main rival of Kathleen "Kat" Harvey .
Casper gains the Harveys' trust when he serves them breakfast, and follows Kat to school, where she becomes popular when her class learns she is living in Whipstaff, and agrees to host their Halloween party there. Her classmate Amber plots with her friend, Vic, to humiliate Kat during the party.

Get an afterlife! Casper is a 1995 live-action film adaptation of the Casper the Friendly Ghost cartoons and comics. It was directed by Brad Silberling (who went on to do A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004)) and produced by (who else?) Steven Spielberg.
Later, Kat's classmate, Vic, asks her out to the Halloween dance by order of his friend, Amber. This incident rouses Casper's jealousy and inspires him to spend more time with Kat and strengthen their bond. Meanwhile, Harvey speaks with Casper's uncles, who admit that they are amused by Harvey's existence.
