Cavendish Square is a public square closer to Oxford Circus and Regents Park. There's not much here to see really. There's some nice buildings, some embassies. The square also contains Cavendish Square Gardens, which is based nice green park with statues and benches to sit on.

In 1717 the 2nd Earl of Oxford, Edward Harley, began work on the development of his estates north of “the road to Oxford” or Tyburn Road, that eventually became Oxford Street. The first element in his grand design was Cavendish Square, named for his wife Lady Henrietta Cavendish Holles.

Oct 15, 2017 · Cavendish Square was planned in 1717 as the centrepiece of the new Marylebone estate of Edward Harley, Earl of Oxford and Mortimer. The square is named after Lady Henrietta Cavendish Holies, his wife, through whom he succeeded to the manor of Marylebone when they married in 1713.
