As we celebrate CDC’s 70th anniversary this year, we are taking a look back at the events of the last seven decades that have helped CDC become the world’s leading public health agency. In order to recognize some of the accomplishments that have occurred at CDC over the past 70 years, former CDC Directors William H. Foege, MD, MPH; James O. Mason, MD, Dr.PH; William L. Roper, MD, MPH; David Satcher, MD, PhD; Jeffrey P. Koplan, MD, MPH; and Julie Gerberding, MD, MPH will join former director Dr. Tom Frieden for this special Grand Rounds presentation.

This is a rare opportunity to hear these esteemed public health professionals share personal experiences from their tenure at CDC. They will discuss challenges that CDC has faced as well as the great accomplishments that took place during their leadership.

This special event explores both the rich history of CDC and its future.
