You can change your address on your vehicle/trailer registration at any time online or by filling out form MV-63 (PDF), "Change of Address", except if you are moving out of state.
You’re allowed 1 free address change during the original 8-year term of your license, as long as it's not within 150 days of your license’s expiration date. If you’re within that 150 days, you’ll have to renew your license and pay the required renewal fee.
