Please view the weekly rink schedule to find General Skate hours at the ice rink. The Chevy Skate team highly recommends that skaters of all ages wear gloves during general skate. Long pants are required at all times for all skaters, no exceptions. Any stick & puck sessions require full gear for all players participating, no matter the age.
Chevy Chase Club’s “ice age” officially began on November 15, 1962, when the new skating rink opened for business. Getting the rink installed and ready to go was no easy feat; seven miles of coolant pipes, monstrous compressors, light poles salvaged from the tennis courts and the purchase of a Zamboni machine all made it possible.
