Rebecca was raised an only child in San Antonio by her mother who worked as a nurse at a local hospital, and her father who taught English at a high school. Rebecca grew up watching a lot of TV with her mother, and this is how she became interested in dancing – her mother enrolled her at a dancing school when she was nine, and she went on to train for the next nine years. Rebecca was also a member of her high school’s dancing crew, and to stay in shape she played various sports, and often went running in a nearby park. After matriculation in 1991, she didn’t to enroll at a college, but focused on her dancing career.

Rebecca danced at various events, and appeared on TV on multiple occasions before she joined the dance troupe Nitro Girlsin October 1997, and thus became part of WCW – she chose ‘Whisper’ as her stage name, which is connected to her special gesture move: putting a finger on her lips to silence the crowd. She was part of WCW for only two years, as she decided to leave after marrying Shawn Michaels.

In Shawn’s autobiographical book, he wrote how it was a girl working at Gold Gym who introduced him to Rebecca, while many other sources have wrongly claimed that it was the ex-wrestler Kevin Scott Nash who introduced the two. After around two years of dating, Rebecca and Shawn married in a small ceremony attended by only the two of them and an Elvis Presley impersonator, on 31 March 1999. Rebecca is a devoted Reborn Christian who is a member of the Methodist Church, and she persuaded Shawn to become religious as well. The married couple welcomed their son Cameron Cade Hickenbottom on 5 January 2000, and their daughter Cheyenne Michelle Hickenbottom followed on 19 August 2004. Before meeting Rebecca, Shawn was married to Theresa Wood. As of August 2020, Rebecca is married to Shawn and they have two children.

Rebecca in not a big fan of the social media networks, and so isn’t active on Instagram, as she prefers not to share pictures of her personal life. She likes to travel, and her job as a dancer has taken her all around the US, while she’s also vacationed in Europe on several occasions, staying in cities such as Athens in Greece and Dubrovnik in Croatia. She is a lover of animals and has a pet dog, while her favorite ‘animals’ are turtles. Rebecca is going to the gym three to four times per week, and is also following a strict diet meaning she mostly eats fruits and vegetables. She likes to watch movies late at night, and her favorite actors and actresses are Johnny Depp, Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet. Some of her favorite movies are the franchise “Pirates of the Caribbean”, “Liar Liar”, and “The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”.

Rebecca’s age is 47. She has long blonde hair and brown eyes, is 5ft 10ins (1.78m) tall and weighs around 150lbs (68kgs). As of August 2020, her net worth has been estimated at over $300,000, while Shawn’s net worthhas been estimated at over $17 million.

Michael Shawn Hickenbottom was born in Chandler, Arizona USA, on 22 July 1965 – his zodiac sign is Cancer and he holds American nationality. He is a retired professional wrestler, an actor and a TV presenter, still regarded as one of the best professional wrestlers in the history of wrestling. Shawn was raised alongside his three older siblings Shari, Scott and Randy, by their mother and father, both of whom were in the military – as Shawn’s father was stationed in England when Shawn was young, the family lived there for two years. He was 12 years old when he decided he wanted to become a wrestler, and he first tried wrestling at his high school’s talent show. He was physically very active while attending Randolph High School, as he played football as a stand-out linebacker, and eventually became the school team’s captain. He matriculated in 1983, and then enrolled at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, but dropped out after just two months to pursue a career as a wrestl...
