Christopher Timothy (born 14 October 1940) is a Welsh actor and narrator. He is known for his roles as James Herriot in All Creatures Great and Small , Mac McGuire in the BBC soap opera Doctors , and Ted Murray in the BBC soap opera EastEnders .

The accident occurred while he was driving home from the set of “All Creatures Great and Small.” Timothy was driving his vintage car when he collided with a lorry.
