He is best known in Ferrari circles for saving and resurrecting 375 MM s/n 0364 but he also raced (as co-driver to Ed Gelder) the 1957 Mille Miglia winning 315 S s/n 0684. He thought that the 315 S was one magnificent racecar.

  3. In 1968, the V8-engined Ferrari was acquired by Chuck Weiss, who eventually managed to track down engine 0436AM, which had been built in period for Kimberley as a spare for this 375 MM. A Ford suspension and handling engineer by trade, Weiss himself completely restored the Ferrari during the 1980s.

In 1976, Sue and I took our 330 GTC and Wayne and Gracia drove 0353AL to the Ferrari Club group at the Indianapolis Speedway swap meet. On Sunday, we decided to convoy home together as Wayne lived 40 miles to the west of us.

  6. Jan 11, 2006 · Engine 0380 AM only was sold in 1969 by Harvey Schaub of Los Angeles to Edwin K. Niles in Encino/CA who then re-sold it to Chuck Weiss in Chicago/IL. In 2003 Roger Wheeler said that chassis 0380 AM no longer exists and was destroyed.
