Nov 22, 2020 · The Quaker City Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was chartered on October 17, 1976 The chartering ceremony was held on the campus of LaSalle University in Philadelphia. Twenty-eight enthusiastic young women combined their visions, skills, and energies to establish a new alumnae chapter in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
The chapter has been a fixture in the Fabulous Farwest and Los Angeles County since our historic chartering on June 16, 1929, led by our ten trailblazing charter members which include our beloved founder Wertie Blackwell Weaver. As the first alumnae chapter in the Farwest, our history includes over nine decades of upholding the torch for Delta!
