Oct 26, 2009 · Filmmakers hoped to have the horror film, "Closed for the Season," released in time for Halloween, but the movie filmed in Chippewa Lake Park won't be released for four to six months.
To get me in the spirit of the season (I will be visiting Joyland in a couple weeks, an abandoned theme park) I decided to hunt down a film called Closed For The Season, filmed at Chippewa Lake Park in 2010. Turns out it's titled under Carnival of Fear on Tubi, so I have been searching by the wrong title all these years.
And while not a huge deal I theorise the movie takes place in 1990, seeing how much of the backstory of Chippewa Lake Park is accurate yet they say the park has only been closed for "12 years", as ...
