Each prompt offers a different way to highlight your character, values, interests, or achievements. If your Common App essay doesn't fit into any of the Coalition prompts, the "topic of your choice" option is there.

For the 2023–24 admissions cycle, we have added a required short answer to our Common Application and Coalition Application with Scoir supplements, along with some optional short answers for first-year applicants.
