Denver (Oct. 11, 2023) — Today, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is updating the COVID-19 data display on its website to highlight leading indicators of disease trends and severity, such as hospitalizations, deaths, variants, syndromic surveillance, and wastewater.
The Department’s programs, including Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid program) and Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+), covered nearly one in four Coloradans before the COVID-19 pandemic began. The Department anticipates as many as 500,000 more Coloradans will become Health First Colorado or CHP+ members before the end of the year.
