Mar 19, 2023 · Shenandoah National Park Campgrounds. Shenandoah National Park boasts five campgrounds open seasonally, from early spring until late fall. Mathews Arm Campground (mile 22.1) is the nearest campground for those entering Shenandoah National Park from Front Royal, in the northern section of the park.
All individual sites are $30 per night and are open to both tents and RVs. There are three group campsites for up to 25 people at a rate of $75 per night. All campsites are non-electric with no hook-ups. Mathews Arm is clean and quiet, but also more primitive than the other park campgrounds. As in, there are no showers at Mathews Arm.
