I've just recently gotten into the old Conan comics and have been reading a bunch, but there's one thing I've noticed that I haven't been able to fully figure out. The Conan the Barbarian comics are... good. They're fine. Enjoyable enough. But when I read the old Savage Sword of Conan magazines, it's like something else entirely.

While Doug Braithwaite’s turned in solid work for the “Thrice Marked for Death!” story arc, I suspect many readers from the Marvel Comics era of Conan the Barbarian will be pleased to see the return of De La Torre’s more classic style.
