Constantin Film is a German film production & distribution company founded on 1 April 1950 by Waldfried Barthel & Preben Philipsen in Frankfurt, Germany, and later moved to Munich. In 1977, Constantin went bankrupt, and its property was acquired by Bernd Eichinger, who launched Neue Constantin Film in 1979.
Constantin Entertainment is one of the most successful independent TV production companies in Germany and Europe. Constantin Music GmbH is a subsidiary of Constantin Film AG and produces film music and soundtracks. In 1989 Kirsten Hager and Eric Moss founded Hager Moss Film GmbH, an independent feature film production company based in Munich.
