Cosmo Allegretti (1927-2013) was an American actor who appeared in films, TV shows and Broadway. He was best known for his work on Captain Kangaroo, where he voiced and moved various characters, and Sorcerer, where he played Carlo Ricci.

Puppeteer Cosmo Allegretti (left) with actor Dick Shawn, 1977: Allegretti played many roles on the program. Songs were a regular part of the show, from "Captain Kangaroo" to many traditional tunes to popular songs interpreted by puppets. Carmino Ravosa was a songwriter on the show from 1975 to 1977.
