Crane Park . Contrary to popular belief, this body of water is not named Goose Pond, but Mill Pond. The Monroe Improvement Association, a group of civic minded citizens, purchased the land around Mill Pond in 1922 and began removing buildings and doing improvements including the construction of the Millpond Parkway.
