Road Conditions Report. Highway 3 (Crowsnest Highway), westbound. Bridge construction at Jaffray Overhead Bridge (5 km east of Jaffray). Until Sat Aug 31. Watch for flagging to allow for trucks to enter and exit site. Watch for speed reductions and crews working in the area.

BC Kootenay Area Road Conditions Reports for the Kootenay’s Highway 3A. Watch for falling rocks between Fraser Subdivision Rd and Junction Hwy 3 for 77.6 km (1 km south of Kootenay Bay Ferry Landing to Creston).
As you take on the mountains, consider that this is a historic route that follows a mid-19th-century gold rush trail. And, if you're able, stop at Crowsnest Pass, which lends the highway its name; this is the site of the continental divide between Alberta and British Columbia!
