"Deepthroat" (released as a single under "cupcakKe Deepthroat") is a song by Chicago rapper cupcakKe. It is her 2nd song, first released as a single and later featured on her debut mixtape, "Cum Cake".
Inspired by the vulgar rap music created by the likes of Khia, Foxy Brown, and Lil Kim, cupcakKe decided to shift her clean rap style to more sexually explicit songs, leading to the release of Vagina. Following the success of Vagina, cupcakKe then released Deepthroat, which also went viral on social media sites such as YouTube, Facebook, and WorldStarHipHop, even surpassing the popularity of her previous song. In an interview with XXL Magazine, cupcakKe said she "wanted the second to song to be great, but I didn't know it would be greater than the first like when I did Vagina". She also said that, while recording the song in the studio, she received a lot of shocked reactions from the people in the studio due to the vulgarness of the lyrics.
When cupcakKe announced her temporary retirement in 2019, she stated that her reasoning for retiring was that she felt as though she was "corrupting the youth" with her lyrics. She cited this song in particular, saying that she saw a video of a child dancing to the song and heard children at her shows singing the lyrics "hump me, fuck me".
The music video for Deepthroat takes place in what cupcakKe has described as a "fifty-dollar motel room" due to the fact that she was "broke as hell at the time." Throughout the music video, cupcakKe dances around in a black bathing suit with the breasts cut out of them, with her breasts hanging out only with orange tape over the nipples in the shape of the letter X. cupcakKe also licks water out of dog bowls, deep throats bananas, and can be seen licking herself.
Following cupcakKe's temporary retirement, the video has since been made private on her YouTube channel. In an interview with XXL Magazine, cupcakKe supported the idea of re-making a music video for Deepthroat "since it is the biggest song and it never got the video it deserved".
