May 2022. The Curonian Spit National Natural Park is one of the must-see places. You can get here from Zelenogradsk by bus 210. It will take about an hour to get here. We got off before the final stop at Duna Efa. There is parking for cars and a large number of souvenir shops, as well as small cafes.

The Coronian Spit is a 100 km long and 1-4 km wide sand dune peninsula in the south-east of the Baltic Sea, shared between Lithuania and the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad. On the western side of the peninsula you face the Baltic Sea and on the east side - the “inside” – there is a large lagoon.
The long and narrow Curonian Spit is sparsely populated. Just a handful of villages, including Juodkrantė and our favourite, Nida, are inhabited year-round. Feb 1, 2023 · There are multiple dunes to climb up along the Curonian Spit to get a great view of both the Curonian Lagoon and the Baltic Sea. These higher dunes are wonderful spots to watch sunrise and sunset. Some great dunes to climb include Parnidis, the Dead Dunes and Nagliai Nature Reserve (extra €5), Artist Dune , and Vecekrūgas Dune .
