D.S.Senanayake Memorial Public Library is situated along Ehelepola Kumarihami Mawatha in Kandy. It is the main public library which is situated in the hill capital of Sri Lanka. It was initiated in 1841 by a group of locals and was taken over by the Kandy Municipal Council in 1920.
