May 22, 2012 · My immediate thought: David Cross singing, "Chicken pot, chicken pot, chicken pot pie!" Just Shoot Me! is an office sitcom that lasted for six years, thanks in part to being paired with the NBC hits Frasier, Friends, and Will & Grace.
Chicken Pot Pie song. That’s David Cross (guest star) & he played Donnie on the show “Just Shoot Me.”. He was pretending to be slow but he actually wasn’t & he sang the Chicken Pot Pie song. Used to watch the show & this was the funniest episode. Here is a short clip of him.
One of my best friends in the late 90’s was a huge Mr.Show fan and watched “Just Shoot Me” just for the David Cross episodes. If it wasn’t for my buddy all those years ago, I probably wouldn’t know who Cross is other than being the guy from “Arrested Development” and the Chipmunks movies. I still say the Chicken Pot Pie bit.

This is by a long shot the funniest episode of the series. David Cross is hilarious when he's playing his normal, sleazy self around Maya. He's also hilarious when Jack is trying to explain the pneumatic tubes. Chicken pot, chicken pot pie!
