David Rockefeller died at age 101. That's something pretty much impossible of for people with any kind of chronic condition, even if it's just relatively harmless stuff like diabetes. Anything that causes end-stage heart failure is far from harmless, and so is getting a transplant and a lifetime of immunosuppressive drugs to avoid rejection.
Fact or not, no heart transplant should ever be wasted on a patient that's 101 years old. If he didn't die during the operation, his post-op life expectancy would likely be measured in months.
