Even with the DCU Chapter One plan, there is a lot that remains uncertain about which DC Comics characters are coming to the big screen, who’s bringing them there, and in what order — other than the first two films on the schedule, nothing is certain about these movies.
From the Chapter One slate to some older projects that may still be kicking around the Warner offices, DC Comics is fertile soil for film ideas. But like the shelved projects at the end of this list, it remains to be seen how many of them will materialize by 2035.
Since we began tracking the cinematic developments of the DC Comics characters, a lot of announced projects have fallen by the way side. The following commemorates the efforts made by many talented individuals to explore the expanse of DC’s multiverse.

All DC movies released theatrically. Some were theatrical only in other countries, but it counts. 1. Superman and the Mole-Men (1951) Passed | 58 min | Action, Adventure, Drama. When underground beings explore the surface world from a deep oil well and inadvertently cause a panic, only Superman can prevent a tragedy.
Warner Bros. finally established its shared universe with the 2013 film Man of Steel and 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. This was followed by 13 films and the first season of Peacemaker, a television series for HBO Max (later renamed Max). The DCEU's 15th and final film, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, was released on December 22, 2023.
