Dearborn Heights Tax Increment Finance Authority (TIFA) Since TIFA's establishment in 1986, many projects have been completed, including the new Justice Center and JFK Library. The Dearborn Heights Tax Increment Finance Authority is a community service office branched out of the State of Michigan and the City of Dearborn Heights.

University of Michigan–Dearborn athletic teams are known as the Wolverines, and their colors are Maize and Blue. UM-Dearborn is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), primarily competing in the Wolverine–Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC).
