On another thread I asked (the agent) if I didn't win the contest, but they wanted to still publish my manuscript (I've heard this happens), could I then contact an agent and tell them I have a publisher that wants my manuscript and I'd like to be represented.

I thought that since it took them that long, maybe I'd hear from another editor. No soap.
