  2. Feb 13, 2023 · Abstract. Dengue is among the fastest-spreading vector-borne infectious disease, with outbreaks often overwhelm the health system and result in huge morbidity and mortality in its endemic populations in the absence of an efficient warning system. A large number of prediction models are currently in use globally.

  3. Jan 9, 2019 · The expert group established that in 2017, there was a generalised decreased incidence, severity and number of deaths due to dengue in the Americas, accompanied by a reduction in reported cases of both Zika and chikungunya virus infections, with no change in distribution among age groups affected.

  5. Mar 21, 2019 · Using a set of prediction variables, we show an increase in prediction accuracy of the model with an optimal combination of predictors which include: meteorological data, clinical data, lag variables of disease surveillance, socioeconomic data and the data encoding spatial dependence on dengue transmission.

  6. May 13, 2022 · This review is mainly focused on the different approaches available to predict dengue outbreaks. This review is divided into three major sections. The first section focuses on reviewing the overall protocol used in the application of ML/DL methods to the disease outbreak/progression prediction.

  7. May 3, 2022 · The early warning system relies heavily on the country surveillance system. The lack of timely and high-quality data is critical for developing an effective EWS. Keywords: dengue early warning system, performance, predictive abilities, alarm indicator, dengue prediction.
