One fo my favorite things to do when visiting a city is to get out and walk. The Cut was the perfect place. We started at the Riverfront (parking at Cullen plaza, walking to harbor, and crossing Atwater) and walked about a mile along the cut, passing murals along the way. Many others were out enjoying the day - walkers, bikers, skateboarders.

Dequindre Cut, looking north The Dequindre Cut is a below-grade pathway, formerly a Grand Trunk Western Railroad line, located on the east side of Detroit, Michigan, just west of St. Aubin Street. Much of the Cut has been converted to a greenway; the colorful graffiti along the pathway has been left in place.
The first time I visited Dequindre Cut was for a champagne pop up with a friend. I quickly returned to explore the rest of the cut by bike. We drove through Eastern Market and parked at the secured lot at Dequindre Cut. We then biked down the cut, riding by huge murals, artists playing music, and a yoga class.
