Deshaies ( French pronunciation: [deɛ]; Guadeloupean Creole: Déhé) is a commune in the French overseas region and department of Guadeloupe, in the Lesser Antilles. It is on the northwest coast of Basse-Terre Island . The inhabitants are called Deshaisiens .
