Aug 11, 2011 · By Detroit Tigers. The Tigers new team plane is the Red Bird III, replacing its current plane Red Bird II. This new bird will allow for non-stop flights to the west coast, additional seats and more cargo space for equipment. The plane is shared between the Tigers and Red Wings.
