The Boeing 757 is known as the “pocket rocket” because of its powerful engines, and low BEW. The company gave it an excessive amount of power because airlines wanted an aircraft that could fly to hot and high airports. Boeing made three variants of the 757, the original 757-200, and a stretched version of the 757-300.
