Founded in 1982, The University of Tampa’s Honors Program exists to enhance the education of high-achieving students. The Honors Program has a distinctive, Honors-only curriculum , a number of opportunities that are exclusively for Honors students, and provides a close-knit community of like-minded students.
The Honors Program exists to enhance the education of the University’s most academically gifted students. It offers an introductory Pathways to Honors seminar and special interdisciplinary, team-taught Honors classes that are designed to enhance creative thinking processes.
Tampa, a UT Honors Program student must have a grade point average at The University of Tampa of at least 3.5 at the time of graduation, must have attended a minimum of four Honors Program symposia per
Some social science courses are also taught by faculty in the College of Business. These courses are the only ones of their kind at the University of Tampa. An Honors Thesis is an original research project appropriate to the student’s field of study.
All applicants to the University are considered and undergo a holistic academic and character review. Full admissions requirements can be found here: https://www.ut.edu/academics/honors-program. Continuing students who earn a 3.5 GPA or better at the end of the first, second or third semester.
