Donald Jay Gaetz (/ ˈ ɡ eɪ t s / GAYTS; born January 22, 1948) is an American businessman and Republican politician who served as a member of the Florida State Senate from 2006 to 2016, representing parts of Northwest Florida.
Matthew Louis Gaetz II (/ ɡeɪts / GATES; born May 7, 1982) is an American lawyer and politician who has served as the U.S. representative for Florida's 1st congressional district since 2017. The district includes all of Escambia, Okaloosa, and Santa Rosa counties, and portions of Walton County.
