Dorotea Gonzaga (6 December 1449 – 20 April 1467) was a Duchess Consort of Milan. She was the daughter of Ludovico III Gonzaga, Marquess of Mantua and Barbara of Brandenburg. [1] In 1466, Dorotea married Galeazzo Maria Sforza, [2] but she died in 1467. [2] Her husband was remarried to Bona of Savoy.

Apr 18, 2021 · Dorotea was born in 1449. She was the daughter of Ludovico II Gonzaga and Barbara von Brandenburg. She was the first wife of Galeazzo Maria Sforza (son of Francesco I Sforza and Bianca Maria Visconti) in 1466. She passed away in 1468. Sources

Galeazzo Maria Sforza. Galeazzo Maria Sforza (24 January 1444 – 26 December 1476) was the fifth Duke of Milan from 1466 until 1476. He was notorious for being lustful, cruel, and tyrannical. He was born to Francesco Sforza, a popular condottiero and ally of Cosimo de' Medici who would gain the Duchy of Milan in 1450, and Bianca Maria Visconti.
