Atlas received his MD from the Pritzker School of Medicine at University of Chicago. He currently serves as the David and Joan Traitel senior fellow at the Hoover Institution. Previously he was a professor and Chief of Neuroradiology at Stanford University. His most recent book is Restoring Quality Health Care: A Six‐Point Plan for Comprehensive Reform at Lower Cost (2016). He is also the author of In Excellent Health: Setting the Record Straight on America’s Health Care System (2011), Reforming America’s Health Care System (2010), and Power to the Patient: Selected Health Care Issues and Policy Solutions(2005).
