Dread is a 2009 British horror film directed and written by Anthony DiBlasi and starring Jackson Rathbone, Shaun Evans and Hanne Steen, based on the short story of the same name by Clive Barker. The story was originally published in 1984 in volume two of Barker's Books of Blood short story collections.

"Dread" is a gruesome horror movie surprisingly great, with an excellent development of the four lead characters – Stephen, Quaid, Cheryl and Abby. The beginning is disclosed in slow pace and the last part is horrific; I almost vomited with the scene of Cherryl and the rotten steak.

The outcast cinema student, Stephen Grace, does not drive cars due to the trauma of losing his brother in a car accident.
