Edward Everett (April 11, 1794 – January 15, 1865) was an American politician, Unitarian pastor, educator, diplomat, and orator from Massachusetts. Everett, as a Whig , served as U.S. representative , U.S. senator , the 15th governor of Massachusetts , minister to Great Britain , and United States secretary of state .
Horton was born in Brooklyn, New York City, to Isabella S. (Diack) and Edward Everett Horton, a compositor for the NY Times. His maternal grandparents were Scottish and his father was of English and German ancestry. Like many of his contemporaries, Horton came to the movies from the theatre, where he debuted in 1906. He made his film debut in 1922.

Jan 7, 2019 · Edward Everett Horton died form cancer on September 29, 1970 at age 84. At the time he was living on his estate purchased in 1928 in Encino, CA with sister Hannabelle Horton Grant. Incidentally Hannabelle also lived to be 101-years-old, dying in 1992. Fortunately Horton’s films and his Brooklyn home live on.

Edward Everett Horton is very memorable and of course Ronald Colman is very likable in the role of the protagonist and gave a very good performance. ‘LOST HORIZON’ is an epic in every sense of the word.
