He said the Blessed Virgin Mary visited him in a dream. She asked Abraham to forget about the hotel and to build a Coptic Church there in her honor.

Rather, she appeared at an Orthodox Church, named Saint Mary, located in Zeitoun, north of Cairo and close to where the Holy Family lived during their exile in Egypt. In 1920, a wealthy Coptic landlord, Tawfiq Khalil Bey, planned to construct a building on land he owned in Zeitoun.
The first apparition of the Virgin Mary at Zeitoun was recorded on the evening of 2 April 1968. The phenomenon was seen by two Muslim bus mechanics, who claimed to witness a woman dressed in white on the roof of Saint Mary’s Coptic Church.
