Many collectors know that Eisenberg & Sons, founded in Chicago, got started in the jewelry business by sewing rhinestone embellishments to dresses in the 1930s.
From the very first offering of a "jewelry line," which would take place in 1940, Eisenberg would offer dress clips, brooches, fur clips, necklaces, bracelets, and even rings. Some of the ads that announce the launch of the line are shown in the 1940s ads section.
