It boots normally into El Capitan without updating the firmware. I am at a loss. I tried upgrading the firmware using the MacProEFIUpdate1-4.dmg, but I get a message saying "Your computer does not need this update." I also have tried different RAM configs, resetting NVRAM, and more, still, nothing. I am at a loss and I need help.

My husband, using El Capitan, can receive but not send. Try figuring that out! Using web mail is driving me mad so I updated to Catalina.
