I think it has something to do with what the above poster said; Primogeniture requires High crown authority, which just fails most of the time to pass. Reply.

Its a complete liability here in the mod and only useful for getting yourself elected while being a vassal. I once used it to peacefully usurp the Westerlands from Lannisters.

  4. Dec 14, 2016 · I am playing a game of CK2 now for the first time in a few patches. In my game--and I'm honestly not exaggerating--a good 90% of Europe is elective monarchy. This didn't used to happen when I played the game previously and it is obviously ahistorical.

Is it worth it to change to Elective Monarchy? What are the pros and cons? I don't want to have all my vassals end up betraying me and ending up without my titles.
