Ellen Whitaker (born 5 March 1986) is an English show jumping rider, [1] currently ranked 191 on the FEI riders Longines Ranking list in July 2022. [2] [citation needed] Career. Competing since the age of 5, Whitaker has had much experience in the equestrian world and qualified for HOYS aged 8 years. [3]
She is a member of the world-famous Whitaker dynasty, fitting in the family tree as the eldest daughter of Carole and Steven Whitaker. Born in Huddersfield (5/3/1986), she grew up in Yorkshire with her parents and three younger brothers Joe, Thomas and Donald. Ellen has two sons, Harry (2014) and Frankie (2016).

She won the Hickstead speed derby twice; the Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) Grand Prix; the British Open; and the puissance at Olympia, HOYS and Madrid with Ladina B.
Mar 11, 2024 · Ellen Whitaker hit form to win the Ashford Farm Trophy 4* 1.50m with Korlenski on the Andalucia Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera, Spain. The 69 starters were challenged by course-designer Marco Nunez’s 12-fence 1.50m track but Ellen made short work with the fastest route on Tilly Shaw’s nine-year-old daughter of Cornet Obolensky.
