"Wednesday Part 2" is the second episode of Elliott from Earth, and of Chapter One. The episode was written by co-creators Mic Graves and Tony Hull, as well as Joe Markham and Joe Parham.

Somewhere across the universe, Elliott and Frankie discover a new place—and its strange inhabitants.

Inside the transport sphere, Elliott and Frankie are shot across the universe at a high speed as it warps through space, unable to tell what's going on. Eventually, they are able to see something large directly in their path, and realize they're going to hit it. As the sphere approaches it, Elliott and Frankie brace themselves for the crash-landing. The sphere shoots through a cloudy sky, and careens into a swampy forest area where it heads straight into a large lake. It finally stops when it's underwater, and Elliott and Frankie open their eyes to find themselves several feet under the surface of the lake. The transport sphere, out of power, deactivates and turns back into the rock. Elliott and Frankie hurriedly grab the rock and swim for the surface.

After climbing out of the lake and taking a moment to catch their breath, they get up and observe their surroundings. As they begin to travel through the wilderness in search of whoever sent the rock, they wonder if they'll find any sort of civilization around, and realize that they'll be stuck there until they do. Suddenly, they hear something rustling in the plants and spot a small frog-like creature. Frankie tries to touch it, only to be mildly shocked by its bioelectricity. The creature then jumps forward and croaks out the word "finger", startling Elliott and Frankie and causing them to lose their footing and fall down a slope.

After landing in a clearing, Elliott stands and begins to help Frankie get up. Frankie suddenly pauses, and tells Elliott not to make a sound as she stares at a big green animal lurking behind him. The animal sniffs Elliott, then licks him, and then bites his nose and begins to gently pull. As soon as Elliott tries to speak, the animal panics and screams before turning around and fleeing. Elliott, wondering if the animal was a dinosaur, suddenly gives chase. Frankie scrambles to keep up with him, not noticing the rock falling out of her pocket as she does.

Elliott and Frankie find the animal hiding his head behind a large rock. Elliott gently encourages him to come out from his hiding place, and though the animal is worried, he eventually approaches. Elliott and Frankie explain that they've just arrived, and ask him if he knows anyone there that they can talk to. The animal, beginning to trust them more, brings them over to a large hollow in a tree trunk and says that they can talk to it. Frankie tries to talk to whatever is in the hole, only to find that it's more of the frog-creatures from before. The animal seems to be unable to see the creatures, so Frankie offers him her glasses, allowing him to see clearly.

In the middle of their conversation, the environment suddenly begins to get rapidly darker as the sun sets. A moment later, though, the flora around them begins to glow and blossom, filling the area with peaceful light, and Elliott and Frankie relax and marvel at it. The three of them sit together in the clearing, and Elliott excitedly asks the animal if he is a dinosaur, showing the animal his toy stegosaur. The animal says that he doesn't think he's a dinosaur, since he's "much bigger" than the toy. Frankie asks the animal if there's any other intelligent life around, and the animal says that it's just him there. She then asks him what the area they're in is called, only for the animal to not know what she means. Elliott and Frankie explain what names are, leading Frankie to tell the story of how Elliott got his name. Upon mentioning Elliott's Aunt Mo, the animal notices the name and decides to name himself "Mo" before settling down to sleep, happy with his new name.

As Elliott and Frankie prepare to sleep for the night as well, they're suddenly startled when something small scuttles by. Elliott and Frankie chase it, but it ends up getting away. Something much larger suddenly approaches them, and though Elliott and Frankie are nervous at first, it turns out to just be Mo, who has begun walking on two legs after copying the stance from the two humans so he can use his forelimbs to grasp things. He shows them that he was able to catch the tiny thing that had bumped into them earlier, and they find out it was a robot. This confuses Frankie, and suddenly a beacon of bright orange light suddenly opens behind them, from the ground all the way into the clouds. Elliott and Frankie grab onto each other and stare up at the beacon, thinking they're about to be abducted by aliens while in an alien world.

•In the HBO Max version of Wednesday, the end of this episode is combined with the beginning of the next episode to transition directly into the scene that follows the end of this episode.
